Electrical Technician
Responsible for planning and executing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, breakdown maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment to support the operation and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities. The role aims to maintain the highest technical standards in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities:
- Execute necessary maintenance and repair of Electrical related equipment to support the operation and maintenance of regional or country production of oil and gas to sustain highest technical standards in safe and cost-effective manner.
- Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance work on Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems / associated equipment including LV generator to meet maintenance and operation requirements.
- Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on Installation High Voltage (HV) generating systems and associated equipment under the direct supervision of Chargeman category B0 and above as per operation requirement.
- Perform dismantling and assembly of electrical equipment in the installation and workshop in accordance to standard work practices.
- Identify, coordinate and ensure availability of electrical spare parts replacement to meet electrical maintenance requirements.
- Provide guidance On-The Job-Training of new trainees assigned to his area.
- Perform any other maintenance activities as assigned to meet maintenance / operation requirements.
- Respond to emergency as per Emergency Response Plan.
- Coordinate Low voltage (LV) electrical installation / modifications work by contractors and vendors in compliance to installation standards and specifications.
- Comply to HSE standard and requirements
- Initiate and close work request (MMM) to meet operations requirement.
- Accurately report problem, repair activities or improvement, result in timely manner.
- Implement SAP plant maintenance as a per work procedure.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment, such as motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Support troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults and malfunctions, including issues with power supply, control circuits, and distribution systems.
- Ensure electrical equipment operates in compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, testing, repairs, and inspections on electrical systems.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance and engineering teams to ensure integrated and efficient operations.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering from a Polytechnic or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in the oil, gas, or related industry, with demonstrated knowledge and skill in electrical tasks.
- Experience working with power transformers and relevant project experience is required.
- Familiarity with SAP for daily maintenance tasks is essential.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in electrical maintenance of complex gas turbine generator systems.
- Preferably domiciled in Madura, Gresik, or nearby areas in East Java.
